Allegheny Surface Technology (AST) is looking for dependable, mechanically inclined Field Service Technicians who want more than just a job. If you enjoy hands-on work, don’t mind being on the road, and want steady work when you’re home, this role offers the best of both worlds.

What You’ll Do

As a Field Service Technician, you are a key representative of AST—both in the field and in our shop.

While Traveling:

• Work at customer locations, sometimes on short notice (up to 24 hours)
• Perform field service tasks independently or as part of a team
• Serve as a confined space attendant when required
• Assist with loading, unloading, cleaning, and maintaining field service equipment
• Communicate job details, concerns, and equipment needs clearly and professionally
• Represent AST with a strong safety mindset and customer-first attitude

When Not Traveling:

• Work in our Lewis Run, PA shop, supporting production based on your skills and experience
• Continue hands-on training and skill development
• Stay engaged, productive, and advancing your career—even when field work is limited

What We’re Looking For

• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet motor vehicle requirements
• Willingness to travel extensively, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Ability to meet customer-specific requirements (safety training, drug testing, background checks, etc.)
• Physical ability to perform confined space attendant duties
• Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented attitude
