At Allegheny Surface Technology, we build more than customer relationships—we build long-term partnerships. We’re looking for a Key Account Manager – Field who will take ownership of strategic accounts, drive profitable growth, and serve as a trusted partner to our customers.

In this role, you’ll be the primary commercial point of contact for key accounts, working closely with internal teams to ensure customer needs are clearly understood, aligned, and consistently delivered. You’ll play a critical role in strengthening relationships, identifying opportunities, and ensuring a high level of service and accountability.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and manage a defined portfolio of strategic customer accounts
  • Build strong relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and day-to-day contacts
  • Develop and execute account plans aligned with customer goals and AST capabilities
  • Identify, qualify, and advance opportunities including cross-sell, upsell, and renewals
  • Monitor account health and proactively address risks related to service, quality, or delivery
  • Lead customer escalations and coordinate internal teams to resolve issues quickly
  • Partner closely with Inside Sales, Technical Sales, Operations, Field Service, and Quality
  • Ensure customer commitments align with internal capabilities and execution
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, opportunity tracking, and forecasting
  • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and conduct regular customer site visits

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in account management, outside sales, or customer-facing roles
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, engineered products, or technical services preferred
  • Proven ability to manage and grow strategic customer relationships
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and CRM systems
  • Associate’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Willingness to travel to key customer sites as needed
